Light Sheets & Filaments
This technology (covered by its own superfamily of patents) broadly covers the expanded architectures of solid-state light sources – linear arrays and areal structures. They can be coupled to sophisticated optics and substrates can be rigid or flexible, transmissive or reflective.
Like QuarkStar's Advanced Light Sources these simpler architectures can be integrated into all types and geometries of fixtures and lamps. Similarly, they are also building blocks that can be integrated with other QuarkStar technologies as part of QuarkStar's Integrated System of Lighting. |
Light Sheets
QuarkStar 2-dimensional sheet designs were developed as inorganic SSL-based alternatives to OLEDs:
|
QuarkStar patents also have relevance to potential Micro-LED display architectures and manufacturing.
Light Filaments
The 1-dimensional linear designs represent the LED equivalent of the incandescent filament but with much expanded capabilities:
QuarkStar’s work on LED filaments and their potential uses offers marketplace opportunities to differentiate.
