As a customer it leaves me a little worried with what we will do to support our computers.  There are no parts, there is no support right now.  I have 4 broken computers that I can't fix.

I finally got to sleep in this morning which was nice.  I still had to get up before 9 though because breakfast ended at 10 and I wanted that free breakfast.

We spent the day at my brother's babysitting while he worked and my sister-in-law was with her family for Yom Kippur. We drove down to a couple of beach areas near the lake where I took a lot of pictures.  There was some ruins and such at the battlefield park but the parking lots were closed and there was no where to park to see them.  Most things around there are closed after labor day.

Lake George is located just inside the Adirondak Mountains area and seemed like it would be a nice place to visit.  The drive, while not as long as day one, seemed long.  I'm starting to get a little road worn after only 3 days so that's not good.

Today started out fine with an average free breakfast consisting of a bagel, a hard boiled egg and coffee.  The coffee wasn't half bad and I was able to take it all on the road with me instead of waiting around eating.

I did see an accident happen around Chicago but it wasn't major - just one car rear ending another coming on to the interstate.

Technically it was still booting Windows but it wasn't running well and there was much noise and clicking.

First I wasted time tying to reimage the dying hard drive thinking it was just a Windows problem.  Reimaging, for those that don't know, is reloading the OS and other software. They left yesterday morning and I've been hanging out here, mostly, since Friday after work.

I love playing with the dogs and they have full cable, which is nice.  I haven't done much today beyond goof around on the internet and watch TV. She was an awesome dog and will be missed.  We think she was born some time in 1992 so she had a long life.  It was a tough decision but it was just her time to go.



I will miss you girl but I'm happy you are no longer suffering. Granted it still has "new toy" status and with the new text messaging service on my phone I find that I am updating it a lot more frequently.  Certainly a lot more frequently than I update here.

Sundays - 8 to noon
Monday-Thursday - 8 to 6

This is working out well because I enjoy having Fridays off and I still have a full Saturday to myself. I was sick for awhile, still recovering - I had the pneumonia - but all is well now.

Work is busy right now because there are some problems with programs on all the lab computers and I still don't have them on the domain and in SMS so it requires a lot of manual updating that takes forever.
