So I was reading online all the buzz about this new handheld game system that Nintendo is hyping prior to E3 this year and that made me decide to do this post about my video game collection. Or obsession, depending on who you ask. So without further ado, GD's Video Game Collection and How it Came to be:
Nintendo:
NES - Purchased from some punk kid off the Internet from a newsgroup. Almost didn't get the system in the end but luckily for me the kids dad found out that he hadn't sent it to me yet and got it on it's way. This had been repaired but still is a bit finicky when loading games. I have many games that I aquired over the years from ebay and a bunch I bought from FJ.
SNES- Bought this on cleareance at Target and never really played it. I have only 2 or 3 games so this is not my favorite game system. I may go back and buy some of the better games off ebay in the future.
N64 - Aquired in a trade from Matt for an original Optimus Prime I purchased off ebay. System came with some games and I aquired a few from ebay and Joey. I also purchased some acessories from varies stores and online.
Gamecube - Purchased new from Shopko on a near impulse. First of the current generation of systems that I owned. I buy the games for this system new and I also have the gameboy player.
Gameboy (old skool) - Good old greenie. I bought this off ebay for hardly any money a few years ago. It's currently somewhere at my parent's house and can be fun to play original tetris from time to time.
Gameboy Pocket - Bought this on clearence from ShopKo. Caused an unhealthy obsession with the game Pokemon Red but I was not the only one. *pts to Susan*
Gameboy Color - Also bought on clearence from ShopKo well after I owned the GBA. I felt it was necessary to complete the collection.
Gameboy Advance - This was preordered from Walmart.com and arrived not long after the release. This was a nice addition to the collection.
Gameboy Advance SP - This was purchased on the day of release from ShopKo. I had only intended to look at it but after I picked it up, I knew it was coming home with me. I love this system best of all.
Virtual Boy - I got this on clearence at Target. I like this system because it's so crazy and unique. Only on the market for a year this was really good for giving headaches. The graphics are poor but sometimes the game play is alright. I'm glad that I own this but I hardly ever play with it.
