Boone!!

I had to post this picture.. it seemed required. This is Aaron Boone, he hit the game winning home run to get the Yankees to the World Series. So yea, he's a Yankee now...

Oh and in Team USA news (World Cup Baseball) - Team USA is currently undefeated and is playing China tonight. Josh hit a homerun!! He's so awesome.

Good Person

So I think I figured out who probably owned that batting glove I found. I'm pretty sure it belonged to one of the people that live in the last apartment downstairs. As we were leaving this afternooon, I dropped it on the ground by their door, it was gone when we got back.

It was fun for a little bit, but it wasn't mine, so it's better off getting it back to the person that actually owns it. I know I would hate to lose something and have someone else find it and keep it. I guess this makes me a good person. *shrug*

I Broke Bob

Ok, so I'm probably over-dramatizing this, but let's just say... baseballs are hard and I'm dangerous with a bat. Sorry C-bob! She's gonna live and all that good stuff, so no worries.

I am listening to the radio right now with my walkman and headphones. It feels all, 1980s, to me for some reason. Probably because the song on the radio is an 80s song.

This is probably my most pointless blog in a long time but I felt like typing.

I found these super cool, customizable shoes that I really want, so I have to think of something I have to do to earn them. I know that whatever needs to be accomplished will get accomplished, because these shoes are awesome.

I (heart) Jorge!

Yankees Win!! Yankees Win!!

Now that was a baseball game!! Red Sox were ahead going into the 8th, Yankees tie it up. Goes into the 11th inning when one Yankee homerun (go Aaron Boone!!) give the Yankees a trip to the World Series. All baseball games should be that awesome. I love tied games that go down to the wire like that. It's so much more exciting than the blow away games.

Approx. 44 hrs until the World Series!!

I realized earlier how much my personal interests have shifted in the last couple months. I hardly ever play video games anymore and I don't worry about upgrading my computer and things like that. I like to be outside, going to the park, watching baseball, playing catch and chatting with my friends. I like hanging out with my friends too, so I want to do that even more. I used to be way into collecting video game systems, but I think that interest has tapered off again. I'm even debating selling of the collection, as I really don't ever use the systems and I don't have room for them.

It's really wicked cold right now, 36 degrees out. I need to get my flannel sheets out and what not, in preparation for winter. It's coming soon, I can tell.

Something odd happened today though. I was getting ready to go for a walk and was walking by the driveway of the house next door and I saw something black. It turned out to be a batting glove, and I thought it might be one of the pair that C-bob lost. Thing is, I found out later from C-bob, that it wasn't her glove. The oddest part of all, is that this glove is in my size. So I guess I have a left handed batting glove now, really odd. I hadn't planned on buying batting gloves for quite awhile, so this was a nice, if not odd, find. It looks basically brand new but it was on the ground for a little while. Someone else must have lost it, but I have no idea how to figure out who that was. Strange things in deed.

It's Only a Game

I have to remind myself that, it's only a game and this happens. So my cubbies didn't win, it's ok. They can try again next year. Pudge got MVP and he totally deserved it. Go Pudge!

I had my first class tonight and it should be interesting. There are only 6 people in the class and only one guy. I actually know the guy, I went to school with him back in junior high/high school. There is one person in the class that seems really cool. We kept like exchanging looks whenever the instructor said something weird or whatever. It was funny. We talked a little after class and she seemed pretty nice. I have an assignment for next week and all that fun stuff to do.

I really don't have much else to say, so I'm gonna stop typing. Hope you are all well!

Don't Know

Cubs lost. I wish they would win instead. Tomorrow.

I have my first class/workshop/whatever tomorrow night. I have a post-it note on my monitor to remind me to go. It should be interesting, it's a creative writing class. Only thing is, I have to miss the Cubs game. *sigh* Oh well.

I'm not dying anymore, just a mild cold now so all is well.

Something is missing, I can feel it, but I can't figure out what it is. Hopefully I will figure it out and fix it soon. I don't like this feeling.

Sore Throat

I've been trying to deny it, I mean, I don't get sick any more. It's just not my thing. But my throat has other ideas and it's annoying. I felt like blogging about it cuz it takes my mind off of it. I even got some drugs earlier, and they worked, for about 10 minutes. It's starting to get worse and more annoying, which just makes me cranky. So if you talk to me and I seem less than my normal happy self, you all know why. I should be back to my normal self quickly though, so no worries.

So how are you guys doing??

Seasons

I think autumn has finally decided to make it's claim and push the last of summer away. It was actually quite warm here last week, but today was raining, cloudy and a bit chilly. Coming soon are the days of sub-aritic temperature, sore throats and snow days (maybe). I decided that my blog should have some more pictures posted today, so here you go. Pictures from this summer, a retrospective.

I think three is enough.

Baseball Weekend

There was an amateur baseball tournament this weekend sponsored by the Lincoln Adult Baseball League. C-bob and I went to games all afternoon and evening yesterday, and this morning and afternoon. It was great to see live baseball and last night, in the crisp cold air, it felt as near to perfect as I would ever find. We didn't end up staying to find out who won the tournament, but it was one of two teams from Minnesota.

C-bob and I are going to play baseball. It seems like a lofty goal, but something I want very much. I want to be out there next summer playing baseball and having a wonderful time. To make this dream come true, will come scarfices. I have been thinking more about that Wessie job and realize that it is something I can do and I would be willing to do. I need a job again because I'm starting to no longer enjoy the time alone. Plus, the money I would get would allow me to work on the baseball dream.

There is a local place here that does baseball training. The guys are all professional players and their rates really aren't that bad. It would be wonderful to have the money to go there and learn how to hit. I can work on the other things, like running and such, but I need help with hitting. I have never batted against a baseball but I don't worry that I can't learn. I have such an inner determination right now, that nothing can stand in my way.

Oh, and I have a new nickname now. My baseball nickname, for the time being anyway, is Hoodie. This is because I love my hooded sweatshirt almost too much.
