Outside it is stormy.

Woops..

missed a day there didn't I.. no I'm not dead or anything, just too busy doing other things to update this. Yesterday was Cinco De Mayo, so C-Bob and I celebrated it properly by going to taco bell and getting tacos. It seemed like the right thing to do. We also went to Gamers (both of them) and I ended up buying an Atari Lynx system with 2 games. In case I have never mentioned it, collecting video games is an obsession of mine. I need to start another website just to show off my stuff. I don't know why, but I really like video game consoles, esp. the older ones, like Atari 2600, etc. It's probably because I grew playing the Atari, spent a lot of time and home and at friend's houses playing that. I will write more later about my video game collection, maybe I should really use this for an article, something I have been really bad about doing lately.

Other than that I don't have too much to say. I am thinking about upgrading MercX to something that doesn't make me mad when it crashes and what-not. It could very well be that the motherboard is friggen out, so I probably need to replace the board, memory and cpu and start clean with something else. I need to check the warranty status of the board to see if I can still get a new one, so I can sell it. I went with cheap at the time because that was all I could afford, but now it seems cheap was a bad idea. This is an amptron motherboard with 0 agp slots, so anything with an agp slot would be better. :)

Stupid Marathon..

So my normal 20 minute drive to my parent's house took me an hour today. All because of the stupid Lincoln Marathon. So for those of you familiar with Lincoln, here is a run down of the route I had to take.
Starting: 48th and Adams (ish)
Destination: 14th and Old Cheney

So I get on 48th street and head south to Holdredge. I drive Holdredge all the way down until it becomes 16th Street. Just past Vine, I have to merge over a lane and notice there are all these people running. I'm thinking, fine, whatever. Drive down 16th for awhile and am forced to turn east up K Street. I'm annoyed at this time but I'm thinking, alright, I'll just go back up to 27th, turn south and all will be well. But no, no, it can't work out that way. I take K up and turn onto Normal, heading for 27th, but there are no right turns on 27th, ie. I can't go south. So I keep driving up Normal, past 40th, past 48th, finally get to 56th were I am forced to turn north, so not the way I want to go. I then take 56th north to South Street and then South Street up to 70th. Drive 70th all the way to Old Cheney and take Old Cheney the rest of the way back to 14th Street. It was quite annoying, but I made it, so that's good, I guess.

Anyway, needed to vent a bit. Peace.
