I was driving home from work and things just kept appearing that just made me want to comment on them here. I really wish there was a way to record my brain waves so that i could just dump them off later for everyone, or just myself, to read. I don't do well with speaking, so dication is out. It seems that sometimes I can have the greatest thoughts or comments I want to make but when my brain has to kick into turning those into spoken words, it freaks out. This is why IM and blogger is cool to me.
So a few observations on driving home...
1. The bumpersticker - I was driving down 13th, around Q street, and this beat-up Blazer (by beat-up I'm talking the bottom half of the back door was rusted off) pulled in front of me. On the back of his car was the sticker "Back Off F__k Head" There was a second sticker that refered to something about the finger but it was mostly gone away with the rusting. I think it was the blatentness that I enjoyed, more than the sentiment. Probably the most interesting bumper sticker I have seen in awhile.
2. Gravel - There was freaking gravel everywhere on the roads, my poor windsheild is even more chipped up now. I was all ready for the whole thing to just shatter.
3. Lane switching - I saw this same person switch lanes about 8 times, back and forth, apparently in an attempt to go faster. I think it's funny when these people fail at trying to "beat the system" of driving. I have nothing against going around a slower driver, I do it myself, but I still like to watch people fail at trying to get from point A to point B 4 secs faster than someone else.
There was something else I wanted to comment on, but I have already forgot what it was. If it comes to me I will comment on it later.
So I got a package today and a little slip of paper saying I had another package (not sure what that is). The little package came to me all the way from Britsh Columbia. It's a game called "Amaze-A-Tron" made by Coleco. It's from the late 70s and is actually kind of fun. The best part is that it is the Canadian version of the game. Stuff from Canada is always cool because it is in French and English. Also, it has this wonderful musty smell, a lot like my basement. I found it strange that an item came to me all the way from Canada and yet it smells like my basement.
So far it has been a ripping great Gopher's Day.
I am planning on writing up a Quarkstar Glossary to explain what certain terms mean and who certain people are. I will be posting that in the near future, so keep your eyes open (do that anyway, prevents walking into walls).
